Pulteney Grammar School is dedicated to supporting young people who are driven to pursue their passions and excel in their talents.

Our scholarships are designed to open doors for students with the motivation, curiosity, and potential to thrive, ensuring they have the best opportunity to explore their interests in an enriching and inclusive environment.

The Scholarship program makes it possible for talented students to attend Pulteney, regardless of financial considerations, welcoming them into a community that values diversity in every sense.

Scholarship applications for entry in 2026 are now open and will close on Friday 17 January 2025. Below you’ll find detailed information about each scholarship type, the application process, and important dates.

Pulteney Grammar Scholarships may only be awarded to students who are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

Pulteney Grammar School offers a range of scholarships to support talented and passionate students entering Year 5, Year 7, or Year 10. Scholarships are available for students who excel academically, show unique talents or interests, have a family connection to the School, or demonstrate skill in the performing arts.

Typically, scholarships provide a 50% reduction on annual tuition fees and are awarded at the Principal’s discretion.

  • Let Their Passions Prosper: Scholarships for students with notable interests or talents across various fields.
  • Old Scholars: Scholarships for children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of Pulteney Old Scholars.
  • Performing Arts: Scholarships available for students with talents in music, dance, or drama.

 

Key dates for 2026 Scholarships:

  • Applications Close: Friday, 17 January 2025.
  • Performing Arts Scholarships Testing: Saturday, 1 February 2025 (exact time to be confirmed).
  • Academic Scholarships Testing: Saturday, 8 February 2025, with exams expected to start at 8:50 am and conclude at 10:45 am (final details to be provided).
  • Offers Made: March 2025

Application process

The School’s annual scholarship application process commences in Term Four (15 months prior to the intended date of commencement) and closes in January thereafter.

Applications for all scholarships are submitted online. Prospective students and families are asked to:

  1. Select the Scholarship they wish to apply for.
  2. Complete the Application Form, providing:
    • A letter of application detailing the student’s interests, achievements, and goals.
    • Academic reports from the last three semesters.
    • Most recent NAPLAN results.
    • Additional documents relevant to the scholarship, such as references and certificates.

For Performing Arts applicants, an audition is required. Candidates may focus on one area (music, dance, or drama) but can also present secondary talents.

Please note: means testing for the Let Their Passions Prosper Scholarship occurs later in the selection process and is not required at the initial application stage.
